Some festivals are celebrated at the national level while some are celebrated at the regional level. The celebrations are classified into different classes according to the method and religion.

Some Hindu festivals are celebrated in the form of historical mythology, some to change the seasons and some to keep the environment clean. According to Jain Digambar there are six duties which are “Dana: Dan, Devpuja: Worshiping Tirthankaras, Guru Upasthi: Respecting the Gurus to become self-contained, Abstinence: Overcoming oneself by various rules, Swadhyaya: Reading religious texts, Tapa: Tapasya, which is the basic ritual of the Jains.

People of Christianity celebrate festivals like Christmas, Easter, Good Friday, etc. with fun-filled activities and great enthusiasm.
